Quest University Canada is located in the costal mountain community of Squamish, British Columbia, equidistant from Vancouver (70 km) and Whistler (60km), host cities of the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The University's 60-acre campus borders on Garibaldi Provincial Park, a protected wilderness area with miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. To the West and South, classrooms and student housing overlook the rugged peaks and valleys of the Tantalus Mountains and Howe Sound, Canada's southernmost fjord. These natural surroundings provide a dramatic and inspiring backdrop to the academic and social activities on campus.
Campus Buildings & Interactive Map
Library (1): Quest's Library building is a central gathering place for students, staff, and visitors. In addition to housing the University's library, the building also accommodates a Learning Commons, café, and bookstore, as well as student and administrative services. Students can be found studying here at all hours of day and night, often in the "secret chairs" behind the building's signature red staircase in its atrium. Academic (2): The Academic building is a multi-level cluster of "seminar rooms", where classes of twenty students hold discussions around large oval tables, and "break-out rooms", where students work in smaller groups to debate ideas, solve problem sets, and conduct experiments. University Services (3): Arguably the best views on campus are visible from the balcony of this pier-like building, which houses the central cafeteria and the Multi-Purpose Room (often called /;the MPR"), where lectures and community-wide events take place. | Macromedia Flash Required. |
Rec Plex (4): This recreation facility includes a regulation-sized gymnasium, squash courts, workout room, an outdoor all-weather playing field (5), and outdoor courts. Almost all facilities and activities in this recreational building are free to Quest students.
Student Housing (8): Quest's three condo-style residences, North Village, South Village, and Riverside, are within strolling distance of campus buildings and facilities. Students live in single or shared rooms in 2- and 3-bedroom apartments. Each apartment contains a living room and kitchenette, two bathrooms, and a balcony.
Future expansion (6 & 7): As Quest continues to grow to a population of 800 students, future expansion of academic and residence buildings is planned to the south and north of the central campus.
