Visiting Tutor for "Democracy and Justice"

Ajay Sharma comes to Quest University as a visiting tutor. He has held teaching positions at McMaster University and the University of Western Ontario, and has taught courses that covered Canadian politics, public administration, intergovernmental relations, comparative politics, fiscal policy, environmental policy, and urban politics.

Ajay holds a B.A. (Hons) in Political Science from the University of Toronto, and an M.A. in Public Policy and Administration from McMaster University. He is currently in the final stages of completing his Ph.D. at the University of Western Ontario. Ajay's Doctoral research examines the role of municipal governments in the development and establishment of national climate change policy frameworks in Canada and the United States. More specifically, his research seeks to determine the key factors that compel municipalities to voluntarily pursue a climate change policy agenda. He has presented his research at conferences in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.

His interests include listening to an eclectic range of music, playing bass guitar and occasionally taking out his sketch pad. Ajay is also an avid follower of soccer, and is an enthusiastic cyclist and golfer.
