Toran comes to Quest University Canada with more than twenty years in experiential education, outdoor recreation and adventure tourism training. He began his career with Educo Adventure School, an international adventure school, specializing in team building, self esteem development and leadership training. Toran finished his last five years with Educo as the executive director developing new and innovative ideas for programming, marketing and staff retention.
Before arriving at Quest, Toran spent time helping numerous universities and colleges implement and develop their Adventure tourism and Recreation programs. Toran most recently served as Program Coordinator for the Adventure Tourism Business Operations Programs at the College of the Rockies where he was responsible for hiring faculty and contractors, implementation of the course plan and teaching program content. While at the College of the Rockies, he was involved extensively with marketing and recruitment, served as chair of the Advisory Committee as well as an advisor to the Risk Management department for adventure tourism. He also served on the Adventure Tourism and Recreation articulation committee for colleges and universities of BC.
Toran has significant expertise in the development of Canadian adventure tourism and recreation. He brings his passion for the outdoors as well as his desire to educate on the hard and soft skills it takes to be successful in this field.
