Visiting Tutor for "Out of Africa" Christian Acemah is Senior Program Associate at the Institute of Medicine in Washington, DC. A native of Uganda, Christian has served as Executive Officer, Policy and Research at UNICEF within the GAVI Alliance Secretariat. He has also worked in sub-Saharan Africa for the Lutheran World Federation on international development issues. Christian was also a researcher for Drs. Gwendolyn Mikell and Callisto Madavo. He received his undergraduate degree from St. John's College and holds a graduate degree from Georgetown University. Passionate about African literature, politics, and history, Christian has led several Africa-focused classes and study groups. He also loves to cook African food. |
