Steve White recently joined the Admissions team in the summer of 2010. Originally from the prairies, Steve received an Arts and Sciences Honours degree in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan. After graduating, he headed overseas spending nearly a year in the mountains and rivers of the Himalayas and across the beaches of Thailand. After a short break home, he returned to Thailand for an extended climbing trip before travelling and working in Australia for a year. Returning home to Canada, he was drawn to the West Coast and spent the next few years living in both Whistler and Squamish. Heading back to Australia, he began studying for a Masters of Business in Melbourne and most recently was working in a HR/Recruitment role for a large multinational. After nearly four years, seeing an opportunity at Quest brought him back to the Sea to Sky corridor where he is truly excited to be a part of something so fresh, engaging and full of potential. The ability of the students, faculty, and staff of Quest University Canada to shape and mould the university community and its future is unbelievable. When he isn't working, you'll likely find Steve on the mountain bike trails of Squamish, Whistler, and Vancouver Island, on his road bike, climbing, or skiing Whistler-Blackcomb in the winter. If Steve was to return to Quest as a student, his Question would be "How will the recent increases in international travel, immigration and global workforces impact national identity and cultural integrity as we now know them? Are we seeing a permanent shift in cultural evolution powered by global mobility?" To contact Steve, you can email him at or call him at 604.898.8000 or our toll free number in North America 1.888.QUEST.08 (1.888.783.7808). |
