Need-Based Awards/Bursaries

Quest is deeply committed to the diverse and vibrant community created by a financial assistance system that encourages qualified students to come to Quest irrespective of their ability to pay. To the extent possible, Quest seeks to help all families for whom the cost of Quest is a barrier. To lessen the difference between a family's resources and the cost of attending Quest, the University offers a Work-Study Program and Need-Based Awards/Bursaries.

Considering factors such as income, assets, and the number of family members enrolled in higher education, a student's demonstrated financial need is determined. The first award upon determination of financial need is an allocation in the Quest Work-Study Program. Further to the Work-Study Program, a student may then also be awarded funds in the form of a grant/financial bursary to offset tuition. Financial bursaries must be re-applied for each year to account for changing family circumstances.

While we cannot meet 100% of every individual's need, Quest also provides Merit-Based Awards/Scholarships and is approved to receive Canadian and United States government student loans. Quest expects that students will take advantage of these external funding opportunities. Predicted student loan amounts should be indicated on the application forms below, and will be considered upon application review.

We look forward to receiving applications from prospective students from around the world and from all economic situations. Quest Merit- and Need-Based Awards only apply to tuition, and not room, board, medical and other scholastic and personal costs during the year. Students must be able to demonstrate to Quest the ability to pay these remaining fees which are at minimum roughly $9,500CDN. Students applying for a study permit to Canada must demonstrate to the Canadian Embassy their ability to pay all university, living, and travel costs for their time at Quest. It is important for all students, regardless of where they come from and what financial background they have, to understand the reality of these costs and procedures.

Your family may also be required to submit additional documents to assist us in assessing need.
