Squamish is equidistant (68 km / 41 mi) between Vancouver and Whistler (sites of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games) in the heart of BC's breathtaking "Sea to Sky Country", so named because the town, situated in a tranquil valley at the head of Howe Sound, is surrounded by the majestic Coast Range Mountains. Squamish is a renowned community for outdoor activity with a vibrant and eclectic arts community.

Quest University Canada has just received news that the American Academy for Liberal Education (AALE), an accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education, has awarded us full accreditation. The AALE evaluation team spent a week here at Quest in March 2010 to carry out a site evaluation and were very impressed with their visit, and most especially, with our students.
The award letter reads in part:
"The Academy's Board of Trustees and the Council of Scholars commend you on the highly innovative student-centered liberal arts and sciences education the University has designed, which takes maximum advantage of the striking natural location of the campus and the flexibility offered by the block system. The Site Evaluation Team Report (March 2010) commended the excellence of your instructors and the high quality of your students who were unusually engaged, articulate and thoughtful."
Quest is also fully accredited through the Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development of British Columbia through their Degree Quality Assessment Board in the same process all BC universities are accredited. Thus, we are one of the few universities in North America fully accredited by both countries.
We are deeply gratified that our unique approach to educating leaders for the new century is receiving growing recognition in academic circles and beyond across North America.
