Student Affairs Officer Brendon Barber is a brand new addition not only to the Quest student affairs team but also the province of British Columbia. Despite growing up in the suburban city of Mississauga, Brendon has found a love of the outdoors through camping, being active in most sports such as baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and even teaching wall climbing for five years at a residential summer camp. He also has a passion for all things music and plays the guitar and trumpet - if you are sneaky you might be able to catch him singing to himself as he is doing everyday activities. Those less sneaky could probably just ask and he will almost always be willing to jam or talk about music. Brendon's interest in Student affairs was born when he became part of the student community at Wilfrid Laurier University. When he wasn't taking the time to complete his Undergrad in History, Religion and Culture, Brendon was working part time on campus, volunteering with the Orientation week team, running a campus club, and participating on multiple intramural sports teams. In his final year at Laurier Brendon decided to go back in to residence as a Don and help students transition from high school to the University world. It was his time as a Don and his "Quest" in to residence life careers that brought him to Quest and he is excited to meet all of the students and explore everything that Quest, Squamish, and British Columbia have to offer. |
