Student Services Coordinator Theresa Nystrom joined Quest University Canada's Student Affairs team in August 2009. She developed a love of education and a passion for working with students while completing her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree at the University of Guelph. As an undergraduate, she worked at Guelph's Learning Commons, and provided learning and studying support to students across disciplines. She also worked as a Graduate Student Writing Advisor, and was a contributor to the University of Guelph's Graduate Student Learning Initiative. For many years at Guelph, she assisted with orientation programming and events, and worked with incoming international students. Theresa enjoys travelling and spending time abroad. She studied at Lund University in Sweden, and has participated in a variety of international service learning and volunteer projects. Most recently, she has returned from teaching and working in rural Nicaragua. She's seen parts of Europe, Africa, and Central America, and is always looking forward to planning her next adventure. New to the west coast, Theresa is excited to explore spectacular British Columbia, and take part in some hiking, climbing, and surfing. |
